Highlighting a Successful Collaboration with Bakealicious by Gabriela

Working with returning clients like Bakealicious by Gabriela is always a rewarding experience. Gabriela has entrusted me with capturing her delectable creations multiple times, and each project brings new excitement and creativity to the table. Our recent shoot focused on her new range of cakes, cupcakes, and empanadas, intended for social media promotion and website enhancement.

The Setup:

For this particular shoot, we decided on a small tabletop setup, which perfectly suited the scale and style of Gabriela's baked goods. Before the shoot, I collaborated with the stylist to discuss the aesthetic we aimed to achieve. We carefully selected backgrounds and planned the lighting to create a visual impact that would elevate the Bakealicious brand. The goal was to craft images that not only showcased the products but also enhanced the overall look and feel of Gabriela's website.

The Process:

As a professional food photographer, preparation is key. I made sure to arrive at the studio well in advance to set up the equipment and conduct a thorough lighting test. Using a high-resolution capture camera, along with a range of lenses, I was able to capture both wide shots of the entire product lineup and detailed close-ups that highlight the intricate details of each cake and pastry.

Each angle, each shadow, and each highlight was carefully considered to ensure that the final images did justice to Gabriela's craftsmanship. This meticulous approach is crucial, especially when working with food, where textures, colors, and freshness need to be conveyed through the lens.

The Result:

The outcome of the shoot was a series of images that beautifully represent Gabriela's new offerings. The vibrant colors and mouthwatering details captured in the photos are sure to draw in her customers, whether they’re browsing online or on social media.
